In the last Music Festival in Melbourne I had the chance to know more about what attracts Melburnites. Undoubtedly, they were interested in Folk, Country, Rhythm and Blues and Hip Hop. The subtle condition of a natural talent without all the chameleonic spirit introduce by professionals of marketing and music industry.
In simple words you feel like in a paradise before the sense of excessive commercial influence get in the middle of talented young and mature musicians. I have got an invitation by Thais, a Brazilian lawyer, who was spending her holidays in Australia. She was searching for someone to spend a good time during her birthday which happened far from her boyfriend, family and friends but she was not alone. At least, she explained that she could not find someone to enjoy this time but it did not mean she will not do it. Even when, as well as, I know in Latin America it is not so common that women travel around the world by themselves without some lame and boring prejudices.
The best part of these shows was watching people with their families. It was not an experience dedicated or promoted only for younger but it was more an event where anyone could feel good vibes and the right time to dance, enjoy the music, talk and without doubts, forget about what is not right.
I have never been before in this part of the city. There are some nice houses but the oldest and rustic used to attract more your attention. There was a little one, which looked giant when you arrived but when you walked in it was completely different. It looked less bigger but you could not stop thinking about who was living here long time before you were born. Now, you could find a coffee shop and restaurant for people interested in enjoying the music with a good meal.
Out of the room, between the trees and over the grass, dozens of individuals exposed their favorite attires showing their passions, interests, love for music or styles like Reggae, Rock, Hippie, Rap, undoubtedly, the best space to see the diversity in Melbourne while the music never stopped.
